Monday the 19th of December DUT12 team organized the Design Presentation of the DUT12 car. During this presentation the attendees were told about the team, there activities and the final result, the design of the DUT12 car. The Challenge
After DUT Racing won twice this year at Silverstone and Hockenheim it is time to put the DUT11 to the test once again. The DUT11 accepted the challenge to race against a Tesla Roadster on the 15th of October. The Tesla Roadster is a completely electric sports car. We raced at Valkenburg airport, we set out a drag race of 75 and 150 meters.
Besides DUT Racing, Interdam projects and Connekt Duurzame Logistiek were also present. Berend Groeneveld from Interdam projects took on the DUT11 with his Tesla Roadster. Arjen Wittekoek co-organiser helped with all the promotion. Read more…
After a season full of successes it was time to thank the group of enthusiastic sponsors. The great achievements of the DUT11 would not have been possible without them. That is why at 30 September this year a ‘Sponsorday’ was organised. At this day the sponsors had the possibility to drive the DUT09, 10 or 11.
For the sponsors an acceleration and a Formula Student style track was set out. To prepare everyone as good as possible a safety instruction was done and one of our drivers explained the best lines on the track. To choose a fair order of driving the sponsors had to bet on the laptime of our own driver, the guess closest to the actual time was chosen to drive first. After everyone had guessed a time our driver Erik Schmidt set a time of 21.5 seconds. Read more…
TU Delft racing team takes the ‘double’
With their first electric powered racecar, the race team of the Delft University of Technology has won Formula Student Germany at the Hockenheim circuit in Germany this weekend. This race, with the strongest field of any Formula Student competition, is considered the World Cup in the student-race series. In July, the Delft team already won ‘Silverstone’, the other Formula Student competition in which they participate. It is the first time in the team’s history that it has been victorious in both events.

“It was a neck and neck race with the team from ETH Zurich,” said team captain Paul Tricht, “They, like us, have a very light and nimble car, just 4 kg heavier than ours. In the end we scored the most points in the static as well as the dynamic events.” The team from TU Delft won the final Endurance event.
