Week 16: High Voltage

The final week of the exam periods on the TU Delft has finally passed. That means that starting next week we will commence with the assembly of our car with full speed.

 

 

 

 

The Drivetrain department has started Tuesday with the sub-assembly of the front-inner wheel transmission. The gears have been assembled into the carrier and the sun-gear has been mounted on the motor axle

 

 

 

 

This week, the Powertrain department has finished the assembly of the left accumulator. We are proud to present to you our first DUT12 high voltage power source. Furthermore, a lot of work has been put into finishing the air inlet last Monday. The source of our cooling which is part of the chassis that went to the painter last Tuesday.

On Monday, the chassis was finished to be sent to the painter, Glasurit, located in Maarssen. There the entire chassis was sanded and plastered, after which a primer was put onto it.

Finally, Friday, the chassis was brought to Amerongen, to Custom Painting Holland. There the final details will be airbrushed on, which should be finished by Wednesday. The result promises to be beautiful. But that is something we would like to save for next week!
